Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of le meiimo Spotlight and its related services (“Spotlight” or the “Service”), provided by Meiimo Technology Co., Ltd. (“Meiimo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use it on behalf of an organization, you must have authority to do so.
1. The Service
le meiimo Spotlight helps you prepare and deliver presentations. Supported features may include opening presentation documents, using speaker notes, generating and editing scripts and Focus Targets, rehearsing, presenting to an external display, and using speech to control relevant presentation actions.
Features depend on the app version, platform, supported languages, permissions, and plan. Some preparation and generation functions require a network connection and third-party processing. We do not promise that every document, language, device, or presentation layout is supported.
2. Accounts
le meiimo Spotlight and le meiimo Secretary share a Meiimo account for authentication and account management. Their content and subscription entitlements remain separate unless expressly stated otherwise.
Provide accurate account information and protect your sign-in credentials. You are responsible for your authorized use of the account. Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. You must meet applicable age and legal-capacity requirements to use the Service.
3. Your content and our processing permission
You retain your rights in presentations, notes, and other content you provide, and in your own edits. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit and present that content, including permission to process personal information or confidential material belonging to others.
You grant Meiimo and the providers we use a limited, non-exclusive permission to transmit, store, reproduce, analyze, and transform your content as needed to provide the features you use, deliver results, and operate and secure the Service as described in our Privacy Policy. This does not transfer ownership of your content to us or authorize unrelated publication, advertising use, or general-purpose model training merely because you accept these Terms.
You may use outputs subject to applicable law and third-party rights. AI outputs may not be unique, and we do not guarantee that an output is copyrightable or free from third-party rights.
4. Review of AI-generated results
Generated scripts, content analysis, translations, and Focus Targets may contain omissions or errors. Review important facts, numbers, relationships, and wording before using them in a presentation. Imported speaker notes are not independently verified by Meiimo.
Speech recognition, navigation, and automatic focus effects can misinterpret speech or trigger an unintended action. Test the features you intend to use and retain a suitable manual way to control your presentation. You are responsible for the material shown or shared with your audience.
Outputs are not professional legal, medical, financial, or other regulated advice. Keep appropriate copies of important original material and your edits.
5. Acceptable use
Do not submit unlawful or infringing material, misuse another person’s data, interfere with the Service, bypass access or usage controls, exploit security weaknesses, or use the Service to cause harm. Obtain any permissions required when using microphone features around other people.
Do not reverse engineer protected components except where applicable law permits it despite this restriction. Third-party materials and open-source components remain subject to their applicable licenses; these Terms do not remove rights granted by those licenses.
6. Paid features and subscriptions
Where paid features are offered, the purchase screen states the price, billing period, included features or usage, and any trial or renewal conditions. A Spotlight subscription does not include Secretary, or vice versa, unless the offer expressly says so.
Auto-renewing subscriptions continue according to the purchase terms until canceled. Manage cancellation through the platform used to purchase. Refund requests are handled under that platform’s rules and applicable law; these Terms do not exclude mandatory refund rights.
Deleting the app, deleting product data, or deleting your Meiimo account does not by itself guarantee cancellation of a platform-managed subscription. Check its status separately.
7. Privacy, deletion, and exports
Our Privacy Policy (https://meiimo.com/spotlight-privacy/) explains information handling. Our Account and Data Deletion page (https://meiimo.com/meiimo-spotlight-data-deletion/) explains the difference between deleting Spotlight data and deleting the shared Meiimo account.
Deletion of a shared account affects access to both le meiimo Spotlight and le meiimo Secretary. Independently exported presentations and copies outside our control are not remotely erased by account deletion. Preserve anything you need before requesting an irreversible deletion.
8. Third-party services and platform terms
Operating-system speech services, hosting, AI, authentication, payment, and external-display facilities may affect feature availability. We do not represent them as being under our complete control, but using a provider does not remove responsibilities we have under applicable law.
For apps obtained through Apple, the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) applies to the app license unless a different applicable license is expressly provided. These Terms address Meiimo’s related services and do not override mandatory platform or consumer rights.
9. Availability and termination
We may maintain, update, or change the Service and may suspend access for a material breach, abuse, a security threat, or a legal requirement. Where reasonable and legally permitted, we will provide notice and a way to address the issue.
If a change or termination affects a paid service, applicable purchase terms and mandatory consumer rights continue to apply. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
10. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without additional warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, warranties, remedies, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or other conduct for which applicable law prohibits such a limitation.
11. Changes
We will provide appropriate notice of material changes to these Terms. Changes will take effect as described in that notice, subject to applicable law. Where renewed agreement is required, we will obtain it.
